Membership Dues and Benefits
Being a playing and paying member of the Rainbow Concert Band is one good way you can support the band, and it comes with several benefits. To begin with, your membership dues help to pay our operating expenses, such as rehearsal space rental, new music, and instrument upkeep and repair, as well as administrative costs. If you are a fully paid up member of the Rainbow Concert Band you also get to vote at the Annual General Meeting and help to decide the path that the Band follows each year.
Membership Dues are $180 yearly (September 1 to August 31 is our fiscal year), or $15 per month for smaller portions of that time period.
Subsidies
For members who are students/retired/un- or underemployed or who are otherwise unable to pay the full membership dues, full or partial dues subsidies are available in exchange for participation in extra fundraising efforts during the year, and/or short time commitments doing administrative tasks, such as music library filing, band room cleanup, postering for concerts, and so on.
